Can the temperature unit switch between degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit?

What is the max. bandwidth of an IP cam?

So far, the max. bandwidth of an IP cam is 6Mbps.

A little worried about safety of Android compared with IOS. Will it affect the product quality?

The network transmission uses SSL credit card level encryption mechanism, and the local end use AES key encryption method, to ensure the security of data transfer process.

How can I view the IP cams via browser and mobile devices?

You have to register the IP cameras on the Cloud-NVR  platform followed by port forwarding (NAT) setting (One camera has three ports). This simple process will allow you to view IP cams via browser and Android / iOS apps.

How much bandwidth is required for video to be transmitted, which would cost much?

Video is best transmitted in the minimum 500K bps upload bandwidth, and the cost varies depending on different countries.

Why can I not use the BNC output?

Default of this function is closed,  this function can be enabled in the Setup.

There are so many similar products online, some of them have very low priced, what is the difference between Aetherlink and those low priced products?

Generally, the low-priced products are using 433MHz RF transmission device, there is no uniform agreement and compatibility, users can only buy under the same family of products for usage, they can only transfer a small size of data, encryption mechanism is not strong, security is very low and etc.

Does BNC output of IP cam support both NTSC and PAL?

BNC output only supports NTSC because it is only used during installation, like checking angle view, etc. 

How far is the greatest distance from the host to the device?

The indoor distance is about 10~30 meters, outdoor is 50~80 meters.

What browsers can I use to have access to the Cloud-NVR? What media can I playback?

We currently support IE and Firefox. Media can be playbacked from SD-card, NAS, NB-server, Standalone NVR. The recordings of NVR-10 cannot be playbacked through Cloud-NVR.

How many peripheral devices can be linked to the host?

Currently, up to 232 peripheral devices can be linked.

Does the server manager know my password?

When the user forgets the password, the server manager can only change one new set of password since server manager will never know the user’s password.

How many event photos can be saved? Where it was stored? Is it safe?

AetherLink offers free of charge for up to100 events, each event with 10 photos, total of 1000 free photos of storage. Event photos are stored in the host room of the largest telecommunications companies in Taiwan, the data transmission also has SSL bank level encryption.

Can Cloud Server manager have access to video from my IP cams?

No, users’ privacy is of vital importance. All IP cams and NVR transmit video to users’ devices (browser, PC, mobile devices,…) directly rather than delivering video via Cloud server. Cloud server only does handshaking (serves as a link).

How do I view the camera's live from an internet web link?

  1. From Browser: http://www.cloud-nvr.com/web/login.php  please install the plug-in that will appear when you login. Compatible browsers are Internet explorer and Mozilla.
  2. From smart phone: download iGKB IP Live from Android or iPhone.

Can we purchase Z-Wave devices from different manufacturers?

According to Z-Wave, it can connect up to 232 Z-Wave devices by using one gateway.  Aetherlink IP cam is with built in Z-Wave gateway, meaning you can connect different Z-Wave devices by using only one AetherLink IP cam. Technically, it can work with third party devices. However, due to some modifications done by other vendors, we really need to test. We use standard Z-Wave Plus protocol and if other vendors use the same protocol, then it should be all right. However, we still need to test. It will be better if you can also purchase the needed devices from us as we can initially integrate here.

Can the IP camera work as a standalone device for monitoring?

Yes – Since it has an SD card built in it which can work as a standalone device.

What is the induction distance of Sensor PIR?

The distance range of PIR depends more on the angle of the device, the center area of the distance is about 5 meters, the other angle will be closer.

Does the IP camera have a microphone to record audio?

Yes – and it can be enabled or disabled on the Camera Setup

Does Aetherlink has built-in surge protector?

No.

What is the capacity of the SD Card that can be used for the IP camera?

128 Gb

Does Aetherlink has built-in smoke detector?

Users can add external smoke detector to detect smoke. We use Z-Wave technology so everything is wireless. Saving the user’s time and effort.

Can 128 Gb of SD be enough to record surveillance video?

It depends on two conditions and what is set under the Frames per Seconds Settings and Resolution.

Does Atherlink has a feature of two way audio?

Yes. Atherlink has a feature of two way audio. Two way audio is a feature where you can communicate with intruder or a person who enters in your home for the sake of theft, vandalism and home burglary.

Does your IP cameras have night vision?

Yes – All our IP cameras have IR – or Infrared lights to view the area even if there are no light in the room.

What is a battery life of Atherlink sensors?

For the sensors, we use Z-Wave technology so everything is wireless. The battery life is about 2 years or even more (depends on how often it is triggered). Users can see the battery level in the mobile APP, to know when they need to change the battery.

Can we see a live view and playback a footage from the mobile app?

Yes – you can view live video feeds and playback recordings from the mobile app

Does Aetherlink have IFTTT Integration?

No, we don’t support IFTTT APP at this moment. We support the MACRO rule the user set up in AetherLink APP among the sensors they installed in their house.

Can we add a Siren or a trigger device to the IP camera for alert or alarm purposes?

Yes – The IP camera has a DO connection where you can plug in a trigger device that gets activated whenever there is motion detected in the area

How Aetherlink Push Notifications System Works?

The Aether-Link provides an early warning system, in that users are able to receive an instant push notification when something unusual is detected.

Does the mobile app give push notifications?

Yes – This will show as notifications from your mobile phones whenever there is an alert of live motion triggers. Please note that the mobile app should be online and users should be logged in to the app.

What type of Lens does Aetherlink have?

It is having a short focal length and hence a field covering a wide angle.

Does the IP camera have POE (Power over Ethernet) feature?

Yes – there are 2 power sources you can choose from one is: from a 12V power adaptor and the second is via a POE switch.

Does Aetherlink have any Monthly fee?

There is no monthly fee associated with Aetherlink.

Can SD card recordings be viewed from the Mobile App?

Yes – The mobile app has the capability to view video recordings from the NVR, SD card and from the Cloud Server.

What is the weight of Aetherlink?

The weight of Aetherlink is 52g.

Do you still need to configure the router’s port forwarding for the IP camera to be seen remotely on the internet?

NO – Since the cameras are registered from the cloud relay server it can handle the routing of data which makes it easy to setup.
